"‘Old World’ pride and craftsmanship goes into every project I make.” says Howard Knight.  As a leatherworker Howard has received broad recognition and appreciation.  His work has gained international interest and can be found at discerning shops in the West and Europe.  He has been featured in the prestigious Southwest Design Conference as well as the Western Design Conference.  He has also been on display at the Sul Ross Museum in Alpine, Texas.

His specialty is filigree work which involves removing background material with a scalpel and inlaying exotic leather such as crocodile, snake or lizard.  He often makes custom belts for vintage buckle collectors.  Howard enjoys collaborating with artists of different mediums such as boot makers, fashion designers, jewelers and watchmakers.
His work is wearable art and has been seen in many magazines including Cowboys and Indians. 

Challenging ventures are always fun to design and execute.  Larger projects have included sofas, chairs, and plasma screen cabinets.  Howard welcomes the opportunity to create a one of a kind family heirloom.
